The Good Bread Project was started by self-taught baker, Jo Rix. After finding herself with too many loaves of bread one day (a common occurrence), she asked her sister to give her the details of a friend who could use a loaf of freshly baked sourdough. She passed on the address of a close friend who was on the good side of one of life’s great battles. A loaf of freshly baked sourdough was left on her doorstep and she was, in turn, asked to send the details of one of her friends who could also use a kind gesture. She did, more bread was delivered and it was clear to see that the simple act of gifting fresh bread brought much happiness.
Jo bakes sourdough weekly from her registered kitchen in Belmont, Geelong. One gift of bread leads to another and then another, creating a little ripple of goodness across Geelong.
